14 Wickets on Day 1, 8 wickets on Day 2 .... didn't seem much like the previous two test matches, but Day 3 reminds us of the great series the batsmen have been having.
Only 3 wickets fell in the entire day, with pakistan adding to India's misery.
India will now have to bat the best part of two days depending on when pakistan declare on day 4 to draw the series in Pakistan after the home team dominating the deciding test in Karachi for the third consecutive day.
Although looking at it positively, if at all pakistan declare first thing tomorrow India will have a target of about 520 to make in 180 overs which would mean a required rate of less than 3 runs per over. So if Sehwag and co. fire under pressure then we are looking at an Indian victory. Therefore leaving only two possible results possibile, a predictable Pakistan win or a Miraculous Indian Victory.
The hosts ended the day on 511 for the loss of 5 wickets which extends their lead to 518 runs, with Faisal Iqbal still not out completing his maiden century.
The most interesting phase of the match was when Shahid Afridi was on fire scoring 60 in 46 deliveries but then was caught at mid-on trying to hit RP Singh's short pitch ball. Tendulkar taking a sitter to stop the onslaught.
The pitch has surely flattened out from the first day when pathan took a hat-trick and doesnt appear to swing as much as it did in the morning on the start.
It will be interesting to see what pakistan do tomorrow and what kind of total would they set for india to chase.
