India failed to do it again in the second test. After the disappointing draw in the first test, unable to take 1 wicket this time it was 3 wickets. But surely rain played spoil sport for the Indians. The entire fourth day was washed out and the fifth day was affected by the rain Gods too. The Indians struck early with Kumble and Munaf picking up 2 wickets and the Windies were looking in trouble at 52 for 3. Then came Chanderpaul and Lara at the crease, undoubtedly the best batsmen in the current team. They played cautiously and piled on the runs until Chanderpaul was dismissed for a half century with the score at 181-4.
Lara soon reached his century off 280 odd balls and was looking in magnificent form. Bravo gave him good support but scoring at a slow pace and understandably so as draw was the best they could get out of the game.
Munaf patel bowled well and ended up with 2 wickets the last of Bradshaw. The Indians again failed to knock over the West Indies on the last day. Lets see if they can better their performance in the 3rd Test.
