The warm-up match between the Indians and Pakistan A was dominated by the batsmen on both sides. The Indians batting first put up 414 runs on the board for the loss of 7 wickets before declaring the innings. The top six all got impressive 50s for India, which will be a confidence booster for the batters before the first test. The youngsters in the Pakistan team also impressed with Imran Farhat scoring a hundred, Hasan Raza & Faisal Iqbal making impressive 50s. Farhat's 107 has earned him a recall in the Pakistan team with him being included in the 15 man squad for the first test. The Indian bowlers in late surge picked up a few quick wickets on the third day and the Pak Ateam ended their innings on 358/9 dec. The Indian openers then negotiated the rest of the day's play with a draw being agreed to, an hour earlier than scheduled close of play.
